Pineapple Ginger Shot

Pineapple Ginger Shot

Ginger is known and loved for its ability to aid in digestion and boost the immune system. While it is a popular ingredient in many different cuisines, ginger is also a great addition to juices and smoothies. By itself, it can be very spicy, so this ginger shot recipe contains pineapple to add a bit of sweetness. If you prefer a milder ginger flavor, simply add more water after the first round of blending.

Ingredients:

80 g fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped

⅔ cup cold water

⅓ cup pineapple chunks

1 cup cold water (more as needed)

Juice of 1 lemon

Directions

  • 1. Set up your Vidiem Mixer-Grinder by locking the juicer jar onto the motor base. Secure the juicer insert in the jar.
  • 2. Add chopped ginger and ⅔ cup cold water to the juicer insert. Place the juicer lid on top of the insert, then lock the jar lid in place. Pulse a few times to break down the ginger.
  • 3. Add the pineapple, lemon juice, and remaining 1 cup of water to the juicer insert. Secure the insert lid and jar lid in place and pulse to break down the pineapple.
  • 4. Blend on speed 1 until the mixture is yellow and slightly opaque, about 10 seconds
  • 5.Taste, and add more water if you prefer a milder ginger flavor. Blend a few seconds more to combine.
  • Strain out the pulp from the mixture and transfer to a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
  • Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled before serving.
